Rockstar SysAdmin/Dev w LAMP, JS, OSC, & SEO exp. for hip music store! (fairfax)

We are an online music download store specializing in electronic music. We are a small shop but we have been online and successful since 2004. Up to now, our company has been completely run by 2 people. I have been responsible for every technical need including all development, design and architecture. My partner's job has been customer and client support, content management, advertising and everything else that isn't technical.

Your primary duties with us would include:
- Server admin duties, including maintaining our servers to ensure 99.9% uptime, establishing a failover-system via a 3rd party DNS service, ensuring proper backups and performance of our site.
- We will need you to be on-call and ready to fix a crashing server at any time of the day. Hopefully, you'll know how to keep this from even being an issue by taking the proper preventative measures.
- Stay on top of security issues that may come up or are currently an issue in the OS web apps we run.
- Identify and improve inefficient code in our PHP and mySQL
- Keep track of your hours and what you did for each hour - to submit as an invoice to us

- SysAdmin - RedHat Linux, Apache2, server-side scripts, monitoring, etc.
- Distributed servers - failover DNS, mySQL mirrors, etc.
- Database Administration
- PHP
- mySQL
- JavaScript

Experience that would be helpful:

- Facebook's API
- Flash and ActionScript 3

- Other web-based languages/platforms (there are so many)
- 3rd party toolsets and OSCommerce add-ons
- Other eCommerce solutions

Compensation:
- $35/hour with a monthly cap of $1,000
- Company shares, if things work out with you, at the second tier! (early shareholders get more)
- Access to our music catalog

Job environment:
- Work remotely
- Bug tracking with UpTime, so you know what you should be doing next
- Email, chat and screen share via Skype or similar tech
- You will be talking to me and I pride myself on being helpful and friendly. :)

Please respond with why you think you're the person for the job, your resume, viewable online examples, and your availability. Please outline how you would approach the position - when you would be working, how you approach a problem, etc.

Also, if you have an interest in electronic music, let us know!

We would like to hire someone around the beginning of next month but we don't want to rush finding the right person.
